It's not that difficult to make except that I was up until 1:30am putting it together. Had I properly time-managed myself, it would have been done faster. Oh well! I'm glad you liked it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! It was actually one of the best cakes I have ever made and therefore will try and make one myself one day. Maybe I will have to make it for Sean's birthday since you will not be doing it for him. Hope your family enjoyed all the leftovers! I can't believe how much there was left! Such a tall ass and delicious cake!

They used to sell this in the Asian grocery store nearby. I went in yesterday and they no longer carry it. I can't seem to find it anywhere to buy online either. I love this stuff, and I am really bummed about the possibility of not having it anymore!

Pink and red ARE a match made in heaven. I'm not sure when it was exactly, maybe five years ago now, but the combo made a roaring comeback. Since I love those bright colours, I was all too aware of the trend. I only have one shirt though I think that contains both the colours.

I have a foam finger! Mine just says #1 on the back though. It's red and not really assocated with any one team. I am totally going to bring it to the Rock game tomorrow. So excited!

Sean eating caramel apples makes me laugh.

I started chronicling all my new foods and recipes that I've been making into an album on facebook. At least all the ones that I remember to take photos of. I forgot to take a photo of my totally full of fat macaroni and cheese from Monday though. Last night I made some lemon chicken (the healthy kind, a la Ina) and some herb and garlic cream cheese smashed potatoes. They didn't look that great, but tasted pretty fab. Will have to put those up soon. I need photographic evidence of how things actually turn out. I've also been taking notes in my foodie journal about all the recipes. I clearly need a job.

OMG I don't even know where to start! I used to shower at night and I'm also a daily hair washer so every night I'd have to blowdry my hair before going to bed. Anyway, I usually blowdry my hair when everyone else is asleep and when doing so, out of the corner of my eye, I think I see those creatures from The Descent and it scares the crap out of me. It's just so dark everyone else but the bathroom I'm in that any sudden noise or movement creeps me out. Sometimes it's the cats though. Then I have to call Sean at work and have him reassure me that those creatures are not coming to get me. I know, it's insane.

Wow I totally didn't realize I had comments that needed approving. I didn't even know I had to approve them...I thought they'd just post themselves. It tasted amazing but extremely rich, despite using tofu. The PB and chocolate mask any hint of tofu and I'm pretty sure that Corey didn't know the mousse was made out of tofu. (Sean and I didn't tell anyone, mwuahaha!)

Mmmm Cotton Candy! I might say that was the best part but all three of my courses were to die for. I was a big fan of this meal as well.

Your photos turned out far better than mine. Maybe you don't really need a new camera and you should put your funds into getting ME a new camera (even though I got mine just over a year ago at Christmas)!

LMAO!!! These photos and your descriptions are positively fantastic! I just got around to putting the few photos I had on facebook and remembered that you said you were going to be blogging yours and not doing anything on facebook. So I came on here for the first time in ages to check them out. After I gave up on my blog, I tended to slack on checking yours. My apologies. However, this blog is so amazing I will now have to go and read some of the others!

I especially like that you looked up what everything was exactly called (except for, of course, our petit fours, which you remembered their descriptions to a T!). I couldn't remember what was in my tea except Fennel and that I liked it!

Avocados are high in fat but it's healthy fat. There's a "recipe" for a face mask that uses avocados but I can never remember what it is. I know there's also one for plain yogurt. I think I may have tried it once...it might have also involved oatmeal.

This soup was really amazing. It was also awesome the next day for lunch. I'm a fan of anything cold in this damn non-air conditioned house. You know me...I'm all about the cold. Bring on winter!!

I had no idea that I had comments awaiting moderation until now. I didn't even think I had that option turned on and now don't know how to edit it. I'll just have to remember to check every now and again. I think egg whites might be weird. You could try unsweetened applesauce though or ripened bananas. I think those would work better. Eggs are usually used as a binder so applesauce and bananas would do the trick.

Those cupcakes were good but they've never made another 20 since the first time we made them at your place. I say it's because we made three really tiny ones. I've kind of had it with that recipe (even though the vanilla flavour is fantastic). I'm off to find a better vanilla cupcake recipe or experiment with my own.

Jessie - That was actually my ultimate strawberry; I was nice enough to let Sean pose with it. I totally just stuck my camera, phone and bills in my short pockets and went picking. It worked but I was totally paranoid about my phone and camera falling out of my pockets.
